I have been absurdly negligent in posting to my blog. There always seem to be more "important" things to do. Crocheting has taken up a large amount of my time. finishing all those hats, scarves, market bags fro Christmas gifts.
It has been a busy year...I simply cannot believe how fast the time goes now. I did a lot of volunteer time working with DPEV (Disabled Parking Enforcement Volunteer), with the Sheriff's office and mediating in small claims court. I enjoy the volunteer work. My partner is no longer with the DPEV program, so working on finding a new partner so I can go on patrol again.
Kids and grand kids are all doing well. Have a few visits with them and got on Skype last weekend!! Had a great visit with Eric and all those at his house.
The weekend of Jan 14-15 will be a special weekend. My 2 oldest grand kids, my oldest daughter and I will be attending the Divisional playoff game in Green Bay for the Packers!! It is the first playoff game in Green Bay since 2007. Face masks are made, new Packer hats for the kids.....warm clothes ready to go in the suitcase.....in can be COLD in GB in January.
Michael celebrated #60 in November. He is now 2 years from retirement and we are trying to decide what we are going to build on the Silverton property. the house I have been dreaming of for 5 years appears not to be a feasible project. It would wipe out all our assets to build it...so we are looking at alternatives. Very sad about that.....but it is what it is....
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year and may you be blessed in all you do!!
Carol's Crochet Place
